My Dear Fathers in The Lord,
New Year greetings to every one of you.

I write to thank each one of you who made it to respond to our request for the kota to be paid on time to enable us pay stipends. Some of you tried every thing you could to make it happen. I know this was done at a difficult time but it was inevitable. 

For us to move on we need to take this as a matter of priority before any thing else is done with our finances. We have to take this seriously for this is our life. 

This policy is here to stay and let us work harder. I would like to ask again in time for the kota of this month to be sent again on time so that we have our stipend coming. What we have agreed in the DSC is to may at a dollar rate of a certain period of the stipend amount from the day we passed the budget. For this to happen we need an up to date kota contribution and failing to do this it will be difficult forums to do the way we agreed. 

Once again a greet you all in the name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ.

I hope you got my last email regarding the need for your Parish Kota to help us pay the stipend. I have not heard from some of you and that some of you complained as if this is a new thing. 

We all know that it is from Kota that we are supposed to be paid. The fact that we receive from our friends does not mean that we should be lazy in paying our Kota. 

Some one of you have been saying that I have failed my work as bishop just because I asked you all to pay your Kota on time for our stipends.  Let me tell you all that my job as bishop is not to do fund raising but to be who I am suppose to be. 

I would like to let you know that the office will be closed by this Friday until 10th January and if the Kota is not coming by that time we will close the office before paying the stipend and that will mean we will get it that time when the Kota will come. I am not prepared to borrow from other votes but paying from Kota as is the mandate from the ACTS. We will only pay those who have contributed so far and those that have completed the payments.

Noted my Lord Bishop and I'll have to instruct the Parish Treasurer to do the needful. I've all the hope that it shall be done because we atleast have a reasonable amount that has been brought forward.

The only challenge is with the mode of sending the money since Charles Kalingira isn't all that accessible as the late Mr. Raphael Thindwa was. Anyway I'll try to do it through the Very Rev. BF. Chitowe.

Yes I noted that in terms of his credibility. Give it to the dean and as long it is there it will be counted as into the office.

Let us all move with on spirit and with one goal to make this Diocese a success than a failure.

As I said the policy is here to stay if at all we need to move.
