Hello,
The seventh annual Ohio LinuxFest is coming soon!
The deadline for registration is Friday September 18th. The
conference will be held a the Hyatt Regency and the Columbus
Convention Center in downtown Columbus, Ohio from September 25th
to the 27th, with the main expo and keynote addresses on
Saturday September 26th.
Space is limited, so register today!
Note: After September 18, you will not be able to register
for the supporter package and receive a LinuxFest tee-shirt.
Walk-ins are welcome on the day of the LinuxFest as long as
space is available, but you will not be able to purchase
the paid packages to help support the LinuxFest.
Dr. Doug McIlroy will be giving a key note address this year.
Doug was the head of research department at Bell Laboratories
where Unix was invented 40 years ago, and is credited for
the inventing Unix pipes, as well as writing many of the Unix
tools we still use in some form today.
Shawn Powers of the Linux Journal will give an address on the
current state of Linux, 40 years after the invention of Unix.
