uid in search

Hi All,

 Please somebody tell me the significance of UID in search functionality??

I am too confused.. currently i am just sending 1 as uid..

Need more thought on that

If you use typeahead not in the context of social network, uid is used for logging only, you can use any value such as 1. It just means who is doing this typeahead search.
