Tournament at UNC (Chapel Hill)

Hola,

I know this is the second email today but we need to start getting a head count and organizing for the UNC tournament this weekend. It's at Chapel Hill and is for the B team only so we need to know how many people will be there so that cars and hotels can be organized. Please respond with 2 things:

 1. Are you planning on going? (If no disregard the other question)

 2. Do you have a vehicle you are willing to use to transport people and how many seatbelts does it have (also list the make and model for planning references)?

Even if you come to practice tonight and tell me or someone that you are going we would like to have a head count on paper so respond! 

Also the fact that im organizing this has nothing to do with whether im captain or not I just had the google group set up from last year so I'm gathering the necessary info. Be sure to send your votes to Christian

As we pick up numbers I will add them to the list and we will add cars. We would rent vans but that has to be done ahead of time and as of 2 hours ago Tyler (our treasurer who books the vans) didn't even know we had a tournament this weekend. And I know that there are at least 2 other clubs with events this weekend renting vans so I think it might be difficult to book late. I will talk to the T.I.T. tonight (treasurer in training) to work the details out with him.

If we cannot make the tournament in ECU then I would definitely be down to play in Charleston being that I am from there and it would be awesome to play in my home town. That being said, if we play in Charleston I may even be able to drive. I'm down with either though, both tournaments will be a lot of fun.

Is the Charleston one you're talking about the "Ultimate Gift" one? Isn't that just a 1-day hat tournament?
Also, I saw this tournament: http://www.montgomeryultimate.com/ccut/   ...but there are two problems: it's a club tournament (so the teams would be tough) and it's the weekend before exams. Anyway, just something to keep in mind if everything else falls through.

As far as the tournament goes there are 2 tournaments definitely happening this weekend and another rumored. The two definites are one at UNC and one at ECU. The rumored one is hosted by savage in Charleston but it is not listed on the USA ultimate scoreboard ( http://scores.usaultimate.org/scores/#open/scoreboard ). As far as venue goes im down for Charleston and it would also likely save us money because we know people that live there so we could likely find housing for $0. As far as competition goes, I think the UNC one will be most competitive. All of this is a moot point if we dont get a bid somewhere. I'm keeping in touch with Derek and reaching out to tournament organizers to see what we got and will update you as the info comes in.
