Practice

Hello Folks,

We are on this team because we love us some ultimate. James has informed me there is no A team practice tonight, however I ask who is in town that wants to play? I am still in for some throwing and a game if we can organize it.  Lets play some ultimate. Even with a small group we can play fun junk games and small skills drills (mainly the former). 

Also if this is going to happen lets dress like someone from thanksgiving. Indian or European. you choose. 

Finally, if this night happens, we work on our cheers. Cheers are the most underrated part of ultimate, but only work if the team knows them. The fun team should really know our cheers. 

Let's do this in the name of ULTIMATE!

Gentlemen,

As much as this is the fun team, we have a tough challenge this weekend in our first B team tournament. I expect to see everyone out at practice tonight focused and ready to prepare for tournament domination. We have a lot of work to do but with a couple of hard practices this week we can be ready. But we have to SHOW UP. We need bodies to run effective drills. Its only November. If we stop showing up now all is lost for next semester. There are 18 people in this group and we expect 18 people at practice until we hear otherwise. LETS GO

Well it seems like I picked up a fever of 101 degrees from this weekend's insanity. I hate missing practice so close to touney time, but I'll make sure to eat tons of chicken soup, take some Tylenol, sleep this off. Hopefully i'll be well for practice on Wednesday and more importantly the tournament. Practice hard tonight fellas.

I know I'll be late and wont be able to participate because of Drunk Jimmy, but I'll be there to to watch and help out in any way I can.

On a side note the B team has had more people show up to the last 2 practices than the A-team, lets keep this trend up.

I'll be there for sure...It doesn't look like we are going to have a tournament for this weekend so Christian is trying to find out if we could scrimmage against the USC B team on Friday.  Also, how many of you guys would be interested in / able to play in the tournament at Montgomery next weekend (that John mentioned earlier)?  We are looking into seeing if they still have an opening for our team to play but I think it looks like a lot of fun and I just really want to get our team out to a tournament.  http://www.montgomeryultimate.com/ccut/

It turns out USC doesn't have a B team so that is out of the question.  As we mentioned at practice, we will definitely be going to cheer for the A team on Friday at 7 when they play against USC on the upper intramural fields.  Stay posted for further details.
