Hi.
I have all my audio files stored on a seperate disk in my PC. I am running Linux Mint Cinnamon and I am unable to use that disk to add music to my library. Clemantine only seems to allow to add files from the drive it is on. I need the option to load from another location namely the second hard drive.

If you haven't made a choice clementine will assume the music folder in home is your library
You need to set the location of your external drive as your Music Library, Tools>Preferences>Music Library

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I had already visited the preferences for library location but there is no option to specify a second drive or any other drive for that matter. I have moved to Linux Mint from Zorin where I used Clementine as my player and was able to specify another drive no problem so I am thinking now that I maybe have a configuration issue which is stopping the other disks showing up. All disks are mounted and visible in file explorer as devices so I would have thought they would be there in Clementine. I'm still getting used to Linux as I am a recent convert from Windows but the differences so far are fairly minor so I've just to keep searching for that solution

When you open Preferences, in the new windows that opens, on the left-hand side, under the General Header, third option down is Music Library, click this. On the right you have a window showing the current paths of the current libraries but on the far right you will have the the option to "Add new Folder" click this and enter the path to your second drive.

I am also running Mint linux

Hi
I am aware of the folder option etc but no disks show in the explorer window they just aren't there only the Home directory which as I understand it is the equivalent of the 'C' drive in windows. I have however  opened the Linux mint file explorer as you suggested and right clicked the disk in the panel on the left of the screen, selected the 'Properties' option and copied the folder location from there. I then pasted that into Clementine and voila the library was created. It's interesting to note that the path I copied had no reference as to which disk/device it is on. I guess it's just an example of those minor differences between Linux and windows. It's almost like a GUI but with a little bit missing, I find it funny that the home directory is there but no other devices are listed graphically.
Many thanks for your help

Question! Where in Clementine did you past your external drives location? I'm having the same issue you had. My drive (Seagate) doesnt show up when I click Add New Folder. Yet I can see it in File explorer or any other app.
