Clementine will not recognize Ipod Classic

I am a new Linux user running Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS with Clementine Version 1.4.0rc1-822-g644405ec7. Clementine will not recognize my 160gb Ipod, while Rhythmbox does. I have tried restarting the Ipod, reinstalling Clementine, but I still cannot get it to recognize in the Device pane. Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
