All,
If you have already contributed to the April Food on the 15th collection, thank you _very_ much.
If you haven't yet, would you please take a stroll to your pantry and put your hand on one food item that you can spare until your next visit to the grocery store? Maybe a box of pasta, or some canned vegetables or fruit, or a box of cereal.
This is what I'm picturing. Tomorrow morning at each bus stop, kids are going to be holding a can or a box for the Food on the 15th collection. Walkers coming to the school will each be carrying a canned or boxed food item. Kids who get dropped off curbside will have a food item in hand. Kids who are in morning care will come in with a food item.
Each of these items is going to make a really nice pile in the front hallway of our school. And that really nice pile is going to turn into a great contribution for stocking pantries for our senior neighbors.
Thanks all!
