Adobe Flex UG: SATURDAY NIGHT 8:00pm with Toys for Shots!

This month the Adobe UG's are combining again for our annual social
event. Below are the particulars from Brian Meloche. There will be
lots of software giveaways and fun! Hope you can come.

I am a little later than I wanted to be on this month's holiday
social. Normally, we have that social this month with all of the other
Adobe user groups in town, and it's usually at the Winking Lizard in
Independence.

Unfortunately, we were unable to secure the Lizard this year, for a
couple of reasons I'd rather not get into, but it wasn't going to
happen this year. We were scrambling to find a new location for the
party, but then Mike Cooper had a great idea!

This year we thought we would combine our Christmas party with one
that is going to help out local area children. Dan Vega, our CFUG co-
manager, is the organizer for the 2nd annual Toys for Shots Event. The
name toys for shots came from a mix between toys for tots and shots.
The reason for this is because if you bring just 1 toy to donate we
will give your 2 drink tickets that you can use. We thought we put out
a nice little incentive for attendees to bring a toy. I hope you can
come out and join us for an event that is going to be a lot of fun on
top of contributing to a great cause.

We realize that's only two nights away, but we know several of you
were already planning to attend, so we hope this late announcement
isn't too much of an inconvenience.

We will be having our semi-annual giveaway that night. We also have an
extra copy of Flex Builder 3 Professional to give away as well, as
will the other groups, and as user group members, you will get a free
ticket just by attending.
