Dear all,

The details for this year's CLEF eHealth IR Task have now been finalized. This year the IR challenge will use a new document collection (ClueWeb 12 B13) and will contain a new set of queries generated from medical forums. Full details are available athttps://sites.google.com/site/clefehealth2016/task-3

What you need to do NOW to participate in the challenge:
(1) Get a copy of the Clueweb12 B13  document collection. There are 3 available options:

(a) if you already have it, you are done.
(b) if you do not have it, you can buy the collection (http://www.lemurproject.org/clueweb12.php/).
(c) if you do not have it and do not want to buy it, we are providing a FREE infrastructure to get access to Clueweb12 B13, both dataset and indexes (both Lemur and Terrier) through Microsoft Azure.

Details on how to obtain the document collection and indexes are available at https://sites.google.com/site/clefehealth2016/task-3. Nevertheless, every participant needs a license to use the ClueWeb document collection. As it might take several weeks to process, please apply for access to the collection now.

(2) Get a copy of the sample queries for this year's challenge. These will be available at https://sites.google.com/site/clefehealth2016/task-3 next Tuesday 15th March 2016.

Hi Joao,

I applied for your Azure access two days ago, but have not got any response so far. Are you in charge of this?

Hi Wang,

Guido is in charge of the Azure access, but I am afraid he is on his way to ECIR now.
Remember that you also will need to fill up a form to access to ClueWeb12 collection, in case your department does not have done it yet.

Best,
