The Clé Club promises a unique night of music on Wednesday, June 18th, with special guests Liam O’Connor on the fiddle and Sean McKeon on the uilleann pipes. Both are previous recipients of the TG4 Young Musician of the Year award. Liam and Sean have been playing together for the past four years and recently released their first joint album, Dublin Made Me.
Both represent this generation of two Dublin families steeped in traditional music: Liam’s father, Mick O’Connor, is a flute player, former member of the Castle Ceilí Band, and music historian, and Sean’s earliest influences were his parents, uillleann piper Gay McKeon, and Mary Corcoran, fiddler and pianist.
