Come and join the parade!!!
The countdown is on to Christmas 2013 and this year we will be marking the occasion with ‘The Spirit of Christmas’, Epsom’s Festive Light Switch-On event on Thursday 21st November!
‘The Spirit of Christmas’ is all about laughter, festive cheer and community spirit. This year we will be doing a fabulous Christmas Parade through the town centre to get the party truly started! Everyone is welcome to attend; all that we ask is that you bring your Christmas Spirit!
Please come together with your friends, family, club, school or business for 5pm at Upper High Street Car Park. The Parade will start at 5.15pm and will travel along Upper High Street, The High Street, Ashley Avenue, South Street and into The Market Place. We want to see balloons, festive hats, costumes and singing along the way. The Parade will be led by The Rotary Clubs very own Tilly the musical train! The Hobbledown characters will be there alongside the stars of Santa Claus and the Christmas adventure! The police and the fire brigade will be there too! Just turn up at Upper High Street from 5pm and spread the Christmas magic throughout Epsom town centre!
Celebrations will then continue into the Market Square with Young Sports Volunteer of the Year, James Peters, pulling the magic lever to light up the Clock Tower and the Town’s Christmas tree. Come and enjoy live music, delicious food, games and activities for the children; including a giant snow globe, a magician, children’s rides and Santa’s grotto at the Clock Tower! This will be a spectacular time for all the family. Festivities will start at 3pm and will continue until 9pm.
