The problem is that Syncthing doesn't have read only access. Every project that seems to had it on their roadmap is death. Maybe contribute that feature to Syncthing or make a fork (of every client for each platform) that does support signing with a key and ignores unsigned changes.

The problem with SyncThing is that a Linux guy made it. So that means no UI, and lots and lots of time on configurations.
