Goodevening, Today a friend and I purchased the Just flight PA-28 warrior II from the MSFS 2020 marketplace, It loads fine and we can see eachother flying it when we are together... The problems start when we attempt to join Vatsim, We connect via the Vpilot client and input the correct code for the warrior (P28A) and instead it shows the default aircraft clipping through the base model... The search bar for codes has multiple variants of the P28 that we have looked at and all produce the same results...Is there a way of either inputting the model into Vpilot (I have tried AIG and couldn't find the PA28) or turning off the models that Vpilot puts in?
VATSIM model-matching does not work in the same way that MSFS2020 multiplayer model representation does -- because VATSIM is cross-platform. You will NOT see other players in EXACTLY the plane they are flying, because your sim may not HAVE the exact plane they are flying. vPilot will come up with whatever it considers to be close enough. Additionally, vPilot is limited to using "AI models" -- lower-poly models it can inject dozens or a hundred of into the sim, if needed, without killing your performance. Whereas MSFS multiplayer will inject replicas of anything another MSFS player is flying.
2) if he's part of your "group" on MSFS and you don't want to remove him from your "group," you can use the .ignore callsign function within vPilot to remove the VATSIM-injected model for him, and see him only as MSFS's multiplayer represents him.
The PA28 Piper Warrior is available for training and recreational flying. Under the hood, this aircraft hosts a Lycombing IO-340 180Hp engine, capable of 105 knots. This aircraft is one of the most popular, safest and reliable aircraft in the world. We are proud to have a number of warriors as part of the RVAC Fleet.
