Firefox, one the most important browsers currently available, along with Google Chrome, is now also available for Android devices. Its list of features and benefits is long enough to strongly consider using it as the default browser on your phone or tablet.
The first interesting characteristic of the app is that it lets you see the browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, and even open tabs that you have on your computer browser, all by just doing a couple of gestures on your Android. Naturally, to synchronize it with your computer browser, you first have to log in.
The second feature is that, as with the computer version, Firefox Browser for Android has many customization options. You can add different extensions, change the general appearance, and make it your own.
Firefox Browser for Android is an excellent browser. It has everything you can ask for: it is fast, it has a perfectly functional tab system, lots of customization options, and also takes your security into account.

Up until a few weeks ago, when I went to a website that I had protected with Safe Money (ie. Amazon, eBay), Kasperky would switch and open a protect browser window. ...Now for reason that have eluded me...it does not.
If I open the Kaspersky Safe Money app (that defines which website i have chosen to use Safe Money), i see my website links, plus setting that say open in protected browser). I click the website link from this app, the protected browser opens fine.
As mentioned in original post...if I click the link in my Safe Money window (see below), it does open a new window with green border, but this function does not happen when linking to website directly from FF URL address bar or bookmarked link
I had to uninstall and reinstall KP Total Security. Once reinstalled, I reloaded the FF KP plug-in and that finally resolved the problem. My secure sessions are now opening an a separate secure window.
I've been using the Firefox browser for several years with no issues. A few days ago the Strava dashboard stopped displaying correctly. None of the activity is showing anymore. The stuff at the bottom of the page still appears. And the links to "your recent activities" at the bottom of the page still work. See attached screenshots. I've opened the page in Safari and Chrome and it displays correctly in both of them. I'm not having any issue in Firefox with any other websites. I'd like to continue using Firefox, if possible.
Same problem here - Strava was working fine using Firefox, suddenly doesn't display correctly... The problem only affects Strava. Tried clearing cookies, etc... The problem isn't with Firefox - the problem appears to be the Strava implementation of Recaptcha - You need to fix your website rather than having users try workarounds!

Hello, I have the same problem with FF. Cannot set browser notifications, because I dont even see them in My Profile Setting/Notification tab. There is only email to be set for notifications. FF is set to pass trough all the notification requests for Asana. What should I do?
Can you confirm if you can reproduce this issue with a private window? Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history Firefox Help If so, can you share a screenshot including your full browser window? (Make sure to block out any info)
On Chrome it worked immediately without any issues. Activate notifications, allow notifications in browser, boom - done. I want to keep using Firefox and not have an extra browser open just for Asana. Hope you can help me.
Your issue description is not complete, but in general there are 2 reasons for Dropbox application inability to open web browser. If you have headless install and not default web browser exists configured (or incompatible terminal type only available), the application need to authenticate your account and since cannot open compatible browser it fails. Some recent browsers configuration limited themself access to temporary resources. On other side Dropbox rely to open web browser only using such resources - application bug - known bug that doesn't accumulate any attention from Dropbox development (like many others bugs), unfortunately.
To solve the first issue (if it is), you need to login without X redirection that confuses Dropbox application (and forces it to try opening something nonexistent). The second issue can be woraround as wiping out your DISPLAY environment variable and start Dropbox application in this context (so no more tries to open web browser, but the URL will be printed out on the terminal - where you can open it successful).
I have recently upgraded my Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 and basically everything seems to be working fine.Except for the fact that Win10 won't get Firefox as the default browser in the system...It started when I noticed that nothing happens when I click on links in email messages on Outlook. After I checked a few things, I also got to change the defualt browser to Chrome and the links worked. That's when I realized that the issue is with the definition of the default browser on Win10.I should mention that I have used all possible ways to set FF as the default browser in the system - from FF itself of couse, from the settings of the system, from file associations, program association and so on.Nothing changed when I did it for FF. Once I do it for Chrome (in ANY of the mentioned ways), it works exactly like it should.Is it a Win10 issue? Is it an FF issue? What can I do more about this?
UPDATE:I have tried everything that has to do with settings Firefox as the default browser in the system, including going through the Settings of Windows, going from the Settings of Firefox, setting default files and protocols, but nothing helps except for re-installing Firefox. If doing that would have closed the issue once and for all, I would have settled for that, but that's the "solution" after every reboot of the OS!This is very frustrating and I don't know what more I can do about it.
Mozilla published a blog entry about how to do that here. This is the "official" way. If this doesn't work you may have a broken setup. If other browsers work fine i don't think this is Windows problem
Since Eset v17.0.15.0, the Firefox browser no longer works within a Sandboxie sandbox! All tabs crash immediately on loading and if you look at the add-on page, you will notice that the icon is missing for almost all add-ons. I didn't even install the Eset "Browser Privacy & Security" add-on. The cause of the problem with Sandboxie is the Eset "Browser script scanner". As soon as you deactivate it, Firefox works again with Sandboxie.
Originally Vivaldi and Firefox were affected, but I read some posts on Sandboxie GitHub and on this Forum, and found that turning off Banking Protection and Browser Privacy & Security fixed the issue for Vivaldi, but not for Firefox.
PROBLEM 1: But that is a very poor solution, because Browser script scanner should never be turned off. The Information circle next to it says, "If enabled, all JavaScript programs executed by interbet browsers will be checked by the antivirus scanner."
After installing today ESET Internet Security version 17.0.15.0 my Microsoft Edge (v. 119.0.2151.93) stopped working - every page is white/blank and I have error message. Only after disabling "browser script scanner" Edge start working again.
