How do I sign into netflix on a computer with my Xfinity account? I want to browse and view programs and mark things to view later, but I can't sign directly into Netflix. I found an older post, but the link it references no longer works and just goes back to the Forums Home Page.
That sort of worked, thanks. I didn't exactly find settings with my User Name & Password but I did find what email address was registered under Help. So I was then able to do a password reset with Netflix. using that email address.
if you subscribe through your Xfinity subscription, go to the x1 Netflix app, and go into settings and account. you will find a menu item where you can get a username/password to access on other devices from that menu.
I bought the hp envy 360 a bit over a year now and 3 days ago I notticed the flickering while watching netflix and sometimes on youtube; When it flickers, is every second almost and with each flickering I see some green pixel like squares, almost like a volume graphic (I'm sorry my computer vocabulary is poor and this is the only way I can describe it); I installed the silverlight and I always use chrome or firefox so Is not an edge browser problem in fact, Im not even sure what the problem is and I would hate to already have a problem with this relatively new laptop. Help anybody?
I've tried everything you said, the BIOS and graphics update, the windows10 update and the full PC reset which was a pain since I had to re install a lot of things and yet, nothing, the screen keeps flickering with this green volume graphic-like squares and it happens pretty much every second so its impossible to ignore. It does happen only when watching netflix and sometimes youtube. Maybe there's a way I can send you a video so you see exactly what I'm talking about?
I dont use the app on my laptop, I just click on the tab to go to the website, I do use the app on my Ipad and no problems there, only on my laptop and still, since I also have the problem with youtube I don't think is a netflix problem.

The Netflix app can be found on the home screen or main menu of smart TVs that support Netflix. Try searching for Netflix in the app store on your TV to see if it's there. Then do the following steps:
Chromecast is a compact streaming device. It is connected to your TV's HDMI connection with a cable that is included. Your TV's HDMI ports are often numbered. Keep track of the number of HDMI ports you are using.

Turns out its a copy protection scheme by MSFT and Netflix. Connecting an external monitor to your laptop to display the netflix content is not supported see response from Netflix. I have to wonder what happens to people who use HDMI TVs as their primary monitor... So I have to use my chrome web browser or chromebook to watch Netflix on my tv or go get a new device. Thanks for your response
Seems that what is happening, is that, watching Netflix like connecting your computer to a TV is not an official way to watch so is more like a work around, what is happening is that Netflix is protecting the content from copy rights, connecting it to a TV the app and IE take it as a way to copy the content, I know you are not doing this, but Netflix take is as an attempt for this and blocks the content, as Chrome is an Open Source project, the content is not protected like in other browsers and this is why you can watch it with no problems, my team is suggesting that you can try using a different cable that does not have this HDCP protection or keep using Chrome as it work as you wish in your TV!
Netflix is a very popular streaming platform where you can find and watch incredible movies and TV shows. Many people around the globe enjoy Netflix content on their devices: TV, computers, and smartphones. This is satisfying because you can organize your day in any way you want, and watch favorite films at any moment.
The second way to mirror Netflix from a phone to a laptop is by using Netflix Mobile Plan. This option is available to those users who have activated Netflix mobile plan. Also, ADB and Scrcpy software are needed for the successful finishing process. So, first, download the software to the laptop, extract them by using WinRAR, and after that continue to apply other steps.
From the above section, we have introduced two ways to cast Netflix shows from phone to laptop using the built-in function. But these built-in casting functions have a flaw, they are not very compatibility friendly. Third-party screen mirroring tools are designed to solve the problem. With a third-party screen mirroring app, even if your laptop does not support Miracast, you can mirror your phone screen to a laptop.
In reference to our update, we really appreciate the feedback that you shared in our Intel Forums and just to let you know, we created a BUG ID and we are working on this matter with the corresponding team and hope to have a fix soon. Unfortunately, there is no ETA as to when the fix will be implemented or if a new graphics driver release will be needed. For that reason, I just wanted to check if you agree for us to close this thread? Pretty much all is left to do now is to wait for a possible fix or a driver release. You will be able to know and see those details and possible updates on this topic or any other matter on our official website where all the driver releases are officially posted:
In order for us to provide the most accurate assistance on this topic, since the problem is happening on two different computers, we are going to start with one of them and then continue with the other:
Just to let you know, the Intel drivers are generic, meaning they might or might not work with your specific platform. For that reason, we always recommend to install the graphics driver provided by the manufacturer of the computer/board, since that driver was customized by them to work with your specific platform.
I look on MSI's website and the first thing I noticed is that the board is not validated yet for Windows*11, which means all the drivers they have in there are for Windows* 10. Still, for testing purposes, we can try to do a clean installation of the latest graphics driver they have available, which is version 27.20.100.9127, following the instructions in the links below:
So far I can only conclude that Intel Graphics, HDR, HVEC codec and Netflix causes artifacts. No matter what hardware changes are made, like memory, screens, HDMI cables, drivers, HVEC codecs and even Netflix in browser.

Due to various factors such as macOS system constraints, market considerations, and operational strategies, Netflix has yet to release a Mac version of the official app. However, Netflix has already launched its app on iPad, iPhone, and Apple TV, as these devices are more suitable for video viewing, offering better user experience and optimized interfaces. If you're using a Mac computer and wish to watch Netflix content through official channels, you can access the Netflix website via a web browser for online streaming.
