The LINK-MICRO-S 4G Cellular Trail Camera from Spypoint is one of the the smallest cellular trail cameras on the market (certainly the smallest cellular trail camera we've seen to date). Plus it's one of the easiest to set-up & activate too. It build on the very popular Link Micro as it has a built in solar panel which will keep charging the built in battery pack whenever direct sunlight is hitting the panel. This means running time can be incredible in the right conditions and there is no need to spend on any batteries.
The camera can take 10MP photographs (colour during the day / black & white at night) and send them via the LTE cellular network through to your Spypoint LINK App on your smartphone or tablet. This means that you can view the images your Spypoint trail camera has captured wherever you might be within a minute or so of them being taken and it also means that you do not have to go to the camera site to retrieve the micro SD card in order to see the captured images.
You can receive up to 100 images per month completely free of charge. For more than the 100 per month you will need to sign up for one of Spypoint's monthly payment packages mentioned further down this page. For the cellular trail camera with the lowest ongoing running costs you may be interested in taking a look at the Ltl Acorn 8830-4G cellular trail camera.
A cellular trail camera holds extra technology such as a modem, SIM card slot, 4G capability, antennas etc. This allows a cellular trail camera to not only record images but also to send them out to an app on your mobile phone or to your email address. A standard trail camera will record images/video to the memory card for viewing later. The extra technology of a cellular trail camera means that they are more expensive to buy but also incur some running costs too - the cost of sending the images out to your phone or email address (just like a text message for example). If you do not require the extra technology / capabilities of a cellular trail camera then you can save yourself some money and opt for a standard trail camera - please see our range of standard (non-cellular) trail cameras here.
If you're happy with a maximum of 100 images per month being sent to the app then you will not have to pay anything at all and can run the camera at no extra cost at all. If you require more than 100 images a month to be transmitted to the app on your phone then you can purchase one of the Spypoint packages here.
You will see that there are options ranging from 250 images per month to the completely unlimited plan - costs from between about 3.50 per month up to about 13 per month. You buy these packages from Spypoint (link in paragraph above) rather than from us here at Pakatak. Customer support is also given by Spypoint rather than us here at Pakatak.
