The "Get Satisfaction" forums are a joke. They are censored by the
very company responsible for all of the problems. I understand how
that's expedient for them, but it is very shortsighted.

Hey, sorry to inform you of this, CLEAR, but the Internet means
everyone can be heard. You may buy modem technology from Chinese, but
we'll not let you censor like the communists.

I tried to post this on the CLEAR forums today, but each response was
quickly removed by "Sheldon" and employee whose been on the forums
since the end of August 2010 (see his profile at
http://forums.clear.com/people/sheldon_r_1392114). This is the first
time that I am aware of that my posts have been deleted, so I believe
this must have hit a nerve. Sheldon did not provide any reason for the
removals in the field intended for that.

So, since CLEAR doesn't like it and felt it should be censored, I
suggest that everyone who reads this go to the CLEAR forums now and
post your own such comments advising consumers of their rights to
contact the FCC and complain about the service and the representations
made.

The gist of the censored post:

Everyone having these problems should contact the FCC to look into
this. If CLEAR
has nothing to hide, they will not object, right?

The FCC is the entity charged with overseeing such issues and is
very concerned
about access to broadband and whether companies they license deal
fairly with
their subscribers.

Contact one or more of the FCC commissioners with the details of
your case.

If enough CLEAR subscribers reach out, perhaps the FCC will
investigate.

See http://reboot.fcc.gov/commissioners for contact info.

Be sure to also contact the FCC and file a formal complaint at:

http://esupport.fcc.gov/index.htm?job=complaints

You call also toll-free at 1-888-CALL-FCC (1-888-225-5322).

The following are the actual removal notices (with some redactions for
privacy, as well as added text denoted by "{" and "}" symbols:

Forget the FTC and the BBB, I think what is needed here is a
class action lawsuit, or
petition the FCC to look into this. The FCC is the entity
charged with overseeing such
issues. The FCC ruled against Comcast on an issue like this
fairly recently, I believe,
but was overturned in court. However, if I recall correctly,
Comcast was not
promising "unlimited" usage.

I suggest contacting the FCC commissioners with the details of
your case. Maybe if
enough of them hear from CLEAR subscribers who are being
throttled and have
horrible service, they'll look into it. See http://reboot.fcc.gov/commissioners

They have more than one reason to respond (because, hopefully,
they care, and
also b/c they want to advance their careers). If enough CLEAR

them, the FCC would probably investigate.

They delete a lot of posts WiMIN, as well as do a good job locking or
changing the passwords of accounts that appear to rock the boat too
much (like my own).

I made a separate post that details this in greater depth.
