ICT4S is a joint effort of academia, industry, national and international organizations to take stock of the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in energy efficiency and sustainable development. How can we utilize the transformational power of ICT for making our world more sustainable? How can we really use ICT to create more value from less physical input, to increase quality of life for all without compromising future generations´ ability to meet their needs?

Invited lectures:

Hi all,

There is now a lot more information on the website about the event http://www.ict4s.org. The line up looks pretty good covering lots of cleanwebby stuff (detailed program here: http://www.ict4s.org/the-conference/detailed-program/). There is also a green hackathon on the Tuesday http://zurich.greenhackathon.com/.

Jack and I are attending and would be cool if some others from the UK could make it. Do let us know if you are going to be there.

Plus Zurich is only 8 hours by train (the best place to write code IMO!):

Cheers,
Jason
