I am wondering if there is a way after creating an edl to burn the edited version onto a DVD. I need a movie for school but I need all cursing edited out and it would be much easier if I could put it on a DVD.

I once had that functionality in there, let me see if I can resurrect it...

I am looking for the same. Or, it would be great to have the ability to create an edited movie file that I can stream from my Plex server to my roku. As of now, I can only watch the edited movies on my laptop. I would love to be able to stream them to my TV from Roku rather than connecting the computer to the TV. Any updates or suggestions on how to achieve this? Thanks.

how are you getting movie files to the roku, is that what you were proposing, an edited file?

Yes, i would like to create an edited mp4 file with all the skipped and muted scenes
that can be streamed from plex media server to my plex roku channel.

Would something like comclean help?  It has a slightly different purpose, but has some similarities.

No, not exactly what i am looking for. I have the mp4 movie file and the edl for the movie. However, i can only play it on my computer through XBMC or mplayer. Unless, I hook up the computer to my TV through HDMI, I can only watch the edited version on the computer. I would like to watch the edited version of the movie on roku(via plex, or some other media server).
