ffmpeg codec issue

Hey, I just discovered this nifty program today and have been trying to test it out this morning. I was able to scrape a .srt file and create an edl just fine, but when I try and load the movie and edl, it consistently gets hung up on downloading ffmpeg. The code says that is was "cancelled somehow" when it tries to download the codec. I've checked smplayer and it plays the video just fine on it's own and says that it already has ffmpeg codecs enabled and ready to go. Is there something I'm missing with installing ffmpeg?

Any help would be appreciated!

On another note, my family and I subscribe to Clearplay and would LOVE a way to convert they're .cpf files to .edl files that can be easily interpreted. If you would like some sample files to check out, let me know!

Unfortunately until now this project is basically in the "proof of concept" phase so may not work well yet...
