I got the DVD and File EDL's to work with smplayer. Not netflix or youtube yet, but just started working with it.
Its great that it was put together free to use. everyone can work on it to improve it and build filters to share!
It seems to work great on windows 7 then windows 8 for me. I will send some of my filters as soon as I get
a group of them together.

Is there a site that lists all the EDL's that everyone else did, that we can download and use?

Never mind I found the list of EDL's and got it to work on Windows 8. On Windows 8 it wouldn't make to short cut
on my desktop so had to search and pin it to it, anyway , why is there no recent stuff? Its all last year stuff. Is there a
new group some place else? A different site or something?

Hmm...yeah I didn't get much feedback by beta testers and got distracted by other projects...this one is still reasonably close to the top, though [my most recent idea had been to just create a library of EDL's for "all DVD's in redbox" any reactions there?]

That would be cool! I use Netflix and get the 2 DVD at a time weekly. But now I view some of the ones I been wanting to view Cause of language. Some of those in red box I wouldn't touch, like the horror ones or just ones that no filter can make them good lol. I recently did Elysium. But its on my laptop at work. I will post that tomorrow. Did the language and violence. Didn't have to do much on the language part. Off on some parts.
learning to time my subtitles better in the beginning.

I had a thought of you having a web page with a Embedded player on it that you can play your DVDs or files and you select your filters and it filters it for you. kind of like Vid-Angel but free :-} and still having the opinion of downloading the program and helping the community.

It seems everyone is trying to make a buck and doesn't want to do anything free. Promote better morals. Just some thoughts for you. I wouldn't mind to help in makings filters.

Hmm...it's tricky for anything web embedded to play a DVD unfortunately, since it would need to be able to access the hardware (files) "on your computer" and to the best of my knowledge, nobody has ever done that yet :)
So basically I'd end up spending like all of my dev. time trying to get the player to start, *then* be able to filter out bad stuff.  Which would cost quite a bit of time...however for online that would work.

Another option would be "edited google play videos" (like vidangel) I even did a demo of doing just that once.  However most people seem to want netflix instant editing as their highest priority [?] which would require a bit more development still [unfortunately] and I just haven't gotten to it yet, been working on a different project instead.

However, I might be able to fit in the redbox movies without too much hassle...hmm...

Redbox would be the cheapest way $1 a movie, I can start on that... maybe a web page like VidAngel with links to red box movies site, and the edl's links under them or something like that. maybe Red Box will pay you in promoting them!  maybe not lol :} What is your other project your working on? dose it have to do with movie filters ?
