Job DescriptionThis large three-tier development environment offers
promotional opportunities to mainframe DB2, mid-range Oracle, client
server or web development as a future career path. There are few firms
in the country that offer the employee benefits or work environment that
this firm offers. An industry leader in its field whose innovation and
profitability has been driven by automation feels its Information
Technology Department is a business partner and not a cost
center.Required SkillsCOBOL, CICS, VSAM and JCL experience (2-3
years) and the client will train in DB2. However, this client will not
look at any consultants/contractors who have been part of the downsizing
that has happened within the local market as a result of post Y2K
activities. Individuals with new development experience are of primary
interest to the firm and people with maintenance experience will not be
considered.
