SQL Server Database Administrator
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Database performance monitoring and capacity planning * Problem analysis and recovery * Data integrity, backups, restores and disaster recovery * SQL Server installs and database creation/setup * Evaluation of tools/products related to SQL Server database administration * Technical consultation on projects * Collaboration with vendor representatives as needed
Qualifications * BS in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent experience * 5+ years IT experience (12+ months with Windows (2008 and/or 2012) * 2-5 years MS SQL Server database administration experience in a networked environment
Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required
* Strong commitment to customer service * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements * Enthusiastic about working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities * Can-do attitude, team player * Ability to understand and embrace processes * Knowledge of Operating Systems: Windows (2008 and/or 2012) * Strong knowledge of relational Database Systems: Microsoft SQL Server (2008 and/or 2012). SQL Server 2014 a plus * Scripting skills a plus
