Hi all!
Do any of you have the Bibliotheca 2500 model in use?
If so, I'd like to come for a visit and have a look (along with a colleague or two).
Thanks!
-Kat

Hi Kat,

We have the B. 3000 model, which I believe is very similar, other than having a larger surface for books.  It appears to have the same interface and software, if nobody closer to you has some to look at.

Thank you, Greg!

We have one of those in our unstaffed location and so far it's been good.

We're looking at the 2500 because it's almost half the cost of the 3000s and we're eliminating the cash handling on our self checks moving forward.  Our data shows that less than 1% of our patrons were using the self checks to pay fines so we decided it didn't make sense to continue to offer that, especially with the amount of staff time it takes to process the money.

Do you like the features on the 3000 that the 2500 doesn't have?

We need to replace at least a third of our self checks this year and the rest of them in the next few years and we're doing our final double/triple checks before making a decision.
