Dear Brothers in Christ,

This morning I received the sad news that Annelise Rust, Harold and Joyce Rust’s eldest daughter (age 26) passed away this weekend in BC. She was found in the residence where she was staying after it was noticed that her vehicle had not moved for a number of hours. Further details are not currently available.

Annelise has served for a number of years in Christian camp ministry, and had just concluded another successful season at Camp Luther in Mission, BC.

In the midst of shock and grief we give thanks to the Lord who has touched so many lives for Him through Annelise’s faithful witness and ministry and are comforted by the reality voiced by St. Paul that we who die in Christ are “absent from the body and present with the Lord”.

Harold and Joyce will be travelling to BC in the next few hours. Please hold them close in your prayers.

Living with you in the sure hope of the resurrection,

Roger

Brothers,

“The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working (James 5:16b ESV)”. Thanks for continuing to uphold Harold, Joyce, Erik, Jenya and Naomi in your prayers during this time of grief.  I know that this Sunday you will also invite your congregations to pray that Jesus will fill their minds and hearts with His promises and the hope and peace that He alone can bring.

Here are details re: upcoming services. Please make this information available to those in your congregation who would appreciate receiving it.
