Headed over to the Huntingdon club on Sunday. Rained until I hit the border. Then on and off sprinkles until I arrived.

Holy cow batman, 70 shooters for a fun trap shoot. A record from the times I've visited the club.

Club throwing White Flyer BLACKOUT targets. Never saw any machine issues. All PAT traps with wireless voice release.

Plenty of volunteers. You wouldn't even know they had a shoot at the end of the day. A young girl scoring targets did a very good job.

Other than a brief shower (closed down the fields) it didn't turn out to be a bad day. Started out on the cool side. People wearing winter jackets. The wind did kick up for a bit.

What a change from Saturday. It was Sunny and 80 degrees on Saturday. When I left Sunday my vehicle gauge said it was 56 degrees and overcast. But it was a warm 56 degrees.

Club has a disused 4th field. Plans to pour pads and install a PAT trap.

Used a small border crossing. I was the only vehicle going in and the only vehicle going out.

Presently have to complete the ‎ArriveCAN app before entering Canada. Supposedly used to check vaccine status before you reach the border.

The latest generation of the app remembers everything you previously typed so it takes less than a minute to completion and approval. You show up at the border and using your ID they verify you have an approved ArriveCan. No delay in entry processing that I can see.

Purchasing a Firearm in the USA

Not a resident of the USA.

You cannot take possession when purchasing a firearm in the states. Must be shipped by FFL to Canada!

Q5. I’m a nonimmigrant alien lawfully present in the United States without a visa. May I purchase or possess a firearm in the United States?

A5. A nonimmigrant alien who is lawfully admitted to the United States without a visa (e.g. Visa Waiver Program), may acquire or possess a firearm in the United States, provided that he or she is not prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing firearms or ammunition in the U.S.

In addition, a nonimmigrant alien legally in the United States with or without a nonimmigrant visa may lawfully acquire a firearm only if he/she meets State of residence requirements as required by the Federal government. For more information, see ATF Ruling 2010-6.

These requirements are irrespective of the licensed status of the individual from whom the alien is purchasing the firearm. An unlicensed individual is prohibited from selling a firearm to an out-of-State resident. A Federal firearms licensee (FFL) is prohibited, with few exceptions, from transferring a firearm to an out-of-State resident.
