I tried it on a pitcher and it worked fine- foot ring is narrower than I like, but it's a first attempt.On another pitcher, before wiring it off, I had left an edge of clay at the bottom, about 3/8ths of an inch or so (a sideways foot?). So the next day I inverted the pitcher and since the bottom edge was quite soft, applied pressure on the outside as the wheel turned, and the foot came up nicely. I want to work with this technique some more too.Ann
