Carol Remarks: "The inlay interaction region shows a region of what appears to be liquid liquid phase separation
- a cloudy irregular flow not seen in either glaze separately."

Would anyone be inspired to try such within their own everyday glazes. (say, a high gloss base glaze and a non runny over, or layered glaze with extra oxides squirreled away within.... each?)
Usually Potters tend to discard runny glaze recipes, or ask Ron for a fixit. BUT..........................................................................
What would be the sacrifice if each firing, one or two pots and kiln space, were dedicated for tests to keep our intrepid juices brimming over with the intrigue of what might happen?
"The Potters Roulette." Win some......lose some.... but win big! when it happens!
We can't win anything if we don't risk and play!!!
Even the "losses" can be simply stepping stones to the next vital discovery.
Story:...... Sometime around 1994 I learned of a grant of $200,000.00 U.S. being awarded to two people to study "what a dog is doing when it is doing nothing." Outraged at this "outrage?" No, No, No!
NO!!! It got me reminded to thinking about what I am doing when I appear to be "doing nothing." And an ongoing effort to further define "nothing."
In my case, I'm getting "alot accomplished doing nothing."
The concept of "Nada es" comes clearly to mind. I'm sure this idea is elementary to all of us creatives, as to what most importantly creates and defines the cup?
Without the empty space inside the lump of clay, or empty space around the outside of the clay form do we have a cup?
WE all are familiar with this conceptual reality, but what are each of us doing with it?
For a $200,000.00 Workshop fee you can come to my studio and we can collaborate on it.
Trolls, If you think that you might resemble my next Ex-wife....... forget we had this conversation!!!! OMG....Smile will'ya?
Misneach,
Woof
