Does anyone know of a purple mason stain that survives at cone ten
reduction in a slip or glaze.

Does anyone know of a purple underglaze that survives at cone ten reduction.

Also the same questions for cone 6 oxidation?

Thanks for any info

Oxidation all the way up to 10:

Amethyst (6318)
Lavender (6333)
Blueberry (6381) - more unpredictable
Orchid (6331)
You may want to make tests to see how much to use. the average is 12%
Mason stains tend to be flat in reduction, at least the last time I used it
in reduction. It is much more vibrant in oxidation.
Here is the link to Mason stains itself. This is a very useful guide,
especially the technical guide. Some colors just disappear or change, for
instance the presence of zinc in your glazes.
