Hi Jeremy,
I'm sure you are doing your media "homework" on this question.
What stand out to me are the discussions regarding how to repair collapsing roof and door insulation on the Laser G7-2001. And of failed attempts at repair.
What I consider a viable alternative is to get Mel's "KIln Book" study it thouroughly, chose a simple design and purchase required K-26 IFB's and build your own.
WE can assist you. One can be empowered when learning from the ground up. From How to, to know How!
If interested please indicate. I have 50+ years in designing and building kilns, wood fired, electric, gas, and combinations of same. But won't waste my precious time unless there is a serious inquiry.
Misneach,
David Woof.....................................my spritely Muse with dancing brown eyes and flying Raven Hair says I better keep her kiln in good repair and fire it regularly. That's an inspiring demand, don't you think?.............................................................................

Subject: [Clayart] Choosing a kiln
Hello,
I've started the process of finding a kiln. Right now I have two proposals:
- a Scandia 160L gas kiln (5.6 cubic feet)
- a Laser G7 200l gas kiln (7 cubic feet)
Any feedback from someone who knows one of these kilns would be
appreciated, in particular the G7 Laser, which I can't seem to find any
info about.
Thanks,
Jeremy
