[Clayart] Electric kiln lid repair - mortar options?

Hi,
I have a 30 yo skutt 1227 that needs some repair both on the lid and floor.
I was going to remove the band and re-mortar the bricks and then reband it
back together.

I can't seem to find a solid answer for the product to use.

In this day and age with these kilns cresting $6k new, solid repair advice
has become a real need.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.
