I have placed a picture on my website, clayart page
of a new piece from a new series. melpots.com clayart page.
Bottom picture/plate.

I am working this winter on a cone 6 hare's fur glaze system
that is working well. I am not sitting around at 91 thinking
of Rhodes 32 and "The Girl from Ipanima". I continue to do serious work
that would make Robin Hopper smile.
onward and upward.

Mel;
Great photos, and delicious pots. Loved the dark red teapot.

Just passed my 20th year in Jingdezhen. I am retired from making pots now.

On Xmas morning I awoke having a mild stroke. 10 days in hospital and now more than a month in bed. I can stand with help but can't walk yet.

Wish me luck.

Ric Swenson

Hello Ric;
You take care, and keep exercising your muscles. I am sure you will bounce back to your self.

Yes Ric, wishing you luck, and determination & perseverance in recovery.
By coincidence, just yesterday I used my XXL rib I got from you almost
50 years ago!
Also regularly use the potters taps & dies you generously passed on
to me when you were in Texas.
You have had a wonderful career in so many aspects of ceramics.

I really love that plate at the bottom - it has such depth. And that rim! Bellissimo

I'm thinking this is on a stoneware, fairly brown?
