This is taken from Plainsman Clays website from 3 days ago:

Matters resolved.
When Plainsman Clays reached out to Tony Hansen, 3 requests were made:
1. The return of the Plainsman Clay’s domains. RESOLVED.
2. The return of the Plainsman Clay’s social media accounts. RESOLVED.
3. The ability to download the data Plainsman had on Insight-live. RESOLVED.
Plainsman Clays currently has no outstanding concerns, claims, or legal
matters with Tony Hansen and we have formalized this in writing. Tony has
received that letter today.
In clearer terms, there remains no barriers from Plainsman Clays that
prevent Digitalfire from continuing exactly as it has for decades – legal
or otherwise.
The letter received by Tony today resolves all outstanding matters between
Plainsman Clays and Tony Hansen.
We look forward to the continuance of Digitalfire for the entire ceramics
community.

tony can comment further or not.

My guess is that Plainsman faced increasing negative coverage from potters and could have faced a serious boycott.

Yes, that is certainly my assumption too! It was a boneheaded move on
their part in the first place.
