Serious Farm yard illustration Re: Floc vs D-floc
Or should we say: "De-Flock"
On a Hobby Farm I built up in the early 1980's,
my 6 month old Tom Cat, named Uno, was beginning to demonstrate a curious interest in the chickens. As he matured he would instinctively consider them for dinner.
So I prepared a 5 x 5 inch square, of a 1 inch thick soft pine board.
Then I dumped a pail of shelled corn in a pile (the Flockulant)
And when the chickens were "Flocked" around the corn
I tossed Tom Cat Uno (the De-flockulant") into the middle of the gathered Chickens
Of course the Flock, in a cackling wings flapping melee De-Flocked.
End of story? not quite yet!........Tom Cat Uno was dancing among the De-Flockers standing on his hind legs, claws extended on waving front legs, attempting to catch dinner.
At this point in this episode, from a concealed position behind the corn crib I threw the 5" X 5" X 1" pine board as if throwing a Ninja style "Throwing Star" at the dancing Uno's shoulder.
It sharply connected with Uno on his shoulder. Not injured, but surprise that "Chickens" had such serious clout, Tom Uno first tried escaping by running upright, using his hind legs only. Then he reversed ends and ran head downward using his front legs only.
Tom Uno traveled 10 meters distance before his discombobulated brain regained control and reminded him that he was really physically equipped to travel fastest as a quadruped.
Tom Uno lived a long secure life while keeping a wary distance from the chickens who went about their chicken Flocking and D-Flocking business.
Our words usually mean what they define or demonstrate...we just need to pay attention.....and think about ways to understand and apply in practical applications.
