Since Clawpack switched to using pip for installation, we have tried to ensure that installation of the different packages is as easy and robust as possible. However, issues remain -- for instance, https://github.com/clawpack/clawpack/issues/44. If you have recently had problems with installation, please raise an issue at
explaining what you did and what happened. Even if you subsequently found a workaround, please raise an issue so that we can ensure that other users don't face the same problem.
Raising an issue on the tracker is preferable to emailing individual developers, because the tracker is publicly visible and so there will be more minds working on a solution and more people benefitting from that solution. Also, anyone can post to the tracker, so people who have not joined this mailing list may also be able to help you.
The same goes for other bugs, but installation issues are especially important.
