Hi Jialing,
I don't think that anything is wrong with the statement as printed in the book. (6.15) isn't relevant, as \sigma isn't used in (6.32). Instead, compare (6.32) with (6.9) to see the connection with Lax-Wendroff.

Yes, Prof. David, you are right.
I mistook
δ_{i−1/2}^n as a slope, but actually it is "a limited version of \Delta Q_{i−1/2}^n". Therefore, comparing eqn (6.9) and eqn (6.32), it is Lax-Wendroff.
