Real time Danish District Heating facilities with heat storage and multiple forms of renewables integrated

Hello,

There has been a lot of discussion about heat storage and CHP of late here.

Most of the dyed in the wool UK based energy experts on this forum have then proceeded to poo pooh the idea.

Here however are two very good examples of the effectiveness of these heat storage systems in action. Both Hvidesande

and Skagen have been running their heating systems all day off heat storage.

There is a really fascinating site showing the West Denmark energy usage hourly, daily and annually here.

Note how most of this energy is coming from renewables for much of the time.
