Hello,

It would be interesting o get a study into the existing and future
nuclear plant insurances, like the one reported here.

"The inclusion of external costs, such as climate impact costs, etc.
would already own one and allow the conclusion that migration and
development of renewable energies is consistently promote. The German
nuclear power plants are underinsured by several orders of magnitude.
The operator must secure their systems adequately against nuclear
disasters, increase the price of a kilowatt hour (kWh) of nuclear
power would be depending on the insurance model to up to € 2.36. This
would correspond to ten times the average household electricity
prices. No wonder when the annual insurance per nuclear power plant is
located at about 20 billion €.
Thus, the risks resulting from the operation of nuclear power, not
insurable in the practice. This is the result of the insurance forums
Leipzig GmbH, which is calculated on behalf of the Association of
Renewable Energy (BEE) for the first time adequate insurance premiums
for nuclear power plants to underwriting academic standards.
According to the BEE need of society to wear loads, which are not
included in the prices of the respective energy reflected from being
disclosed and included in the price formation. Only then can policy
and consumer costs and benefits of the energy revolution actually
evaluate and make sustainable choices.
The now of the insurance theory to calculate the financial risks
presented by nuclear emergencies deliver a major contribution to this
debate. When the study was announced in December last year when the
insurance forums in order, nobody would have believed it possible that
the scenarios would be calculated with the events in Fukushima as fast
brutal reality. A clear sad but clear argument consistently to rise to
100 percent renewable energy."

The Leipzig study concluded that nuclear power is basically uninsurable,
which is another reason why a nuclear renaissance in Britain is a very
bad idea.
