Thisis just happened to me today, worse time too as on holiday and miles away from my supposingly secure home, my iPhone 11 has frozen up and can not use it. Only the EUFY security logo on a blue screen, so tried reset but Rung 111 and had to apologise.
Exact same thing happened to my iPhone XR today. I also had to apologize to 911 dispatch and to my emergency contact. I could not power off or reset. Every attempt, same results. I had access to the control panel via a shortcut and luckily was able toggle airplane mode. Got on my PC and chatted Eufy Support. I said the app was acting like a virus. He said they were aware of the app behavior, but blamed it on Apple iOS. Recommended to reinstall app if I could the restart the phone. Took it to the Geek Squad, they were able to do a forced restart and uninstall the Eufy app. Big ordeal. Lost a little more faith in Eufy products. Currently have the wired video doorbell and indoor cam.
On my less-than-a-week-old (new) iPad 5 Mini, I had experienced a software freeze but only from doing a full screen view of a live feed. I updated my iOS to 14.7.1, but the same event occurred. In both before and after updating iOS, I had to hold down the power and volume-down buttons until it either went to a black screen or rebooted.
Spoke to Verizon. All you have to do is;
1- press and release volume up as quick as possible
2- press and release volume down as quick as possible
3- press and hold shut off for 45 seconds
These steps turned off the phone and reset once I turned it on again.
It worked for me!
The situation seems severe. You can force restart your iPhone by pressing the Home and Power buttons together. If no use, I guess you can use iTunes to restore your iPhone. But this is riskier. And the final tool you can use is TunesKit iOS System Recovery which can turn your iPhone back to normal.
The eufy Security app allows you to receive instant notifications* when activity is detected. The local AI protects the privacy of your security data and footage.

Why do I get the following message when I try to view my cameras online: To protect the security of the live view when you login web portal, it is required to enable the Web Portal Access first. please go to eufy Security App>Sidebar>Control Center>Web Portal Access to enable the access first.
I have the same issue. Two days ago I was able to connect via web portal. Today I received the message. I have an iPhone with the latest version of Eufy Security App and I dont have Control Center or something else in the sidebar.
UPDATE I found the option after the android update in the control center, after a search. It generated a code number added it to the code box and I was in. Problem solved EUFY contacted me shortly when I email them
so the universe is at peace.
Hello!
Does that feature really work with the S300 and S330 cameras linked with the HomeBase3?
Because I replaced my HomeBase 2 with the latest and, kept my 2C Pro camera and battery doorbell. The camera recognises familiar faces and though the Ignore notifications settings is on on the HomeBase3, I still receive notifications each time I am detected or my husband is . It even is les detailed than when I choose not to ignore notifications ( a presence has been detected versus Me has been detected ).
I thought it was because the image is less clear (2K only for the C2 Pro). It seems, that for security measures, the notifications are sent anyway first and the facial recognition is done afterwards.
How difficult can it be for the programmers to change or add some lines of script to NOT send the notifications when the person is recognised ?
Because 7 times out of 10 for me, the notifications comprise the right name of the person detected.
I think you have hit the nail on the head. Often, if the camera detects movement, but the person is not looking up, the camera cannot determine if it is a familiar face and would still send out the notification.
Then there is no excuse if the camera can recognise a family member as soon as it detects movement but still sends out notifications. Perhaps they should introduce an optional time delay for the user to specify that the system should not send out notifications until the specified time delay has reached, and use the time delay to determine whether it is a familiar face or not.
I experience -3 error almost EVERY time I connect from remote to homebase2 (I have two of them that I bought recently and receive normal firmware updates, togeter with 3 cameras 2C and a battery doorbell). I connect wheneer I receive an alert and this may happen 3-10 times per day and only in very rare case the connection happens immediately.
About a month ago, I tried to access the cams from work, while on cell service. I could not. Just get the (-3) error noted above. I get all the notifications from all cams, but once I try to connect, nothing. If at home, on the home wifi, I can access everything. Honestly, if I have to go a reset all of these, I am just going to sell the system and go with something else. There have been no changes to our setup that I am aware of. And, since the cams work fine through the wifi, it does not sound like a problem with the cams, but with the Homebase.
Here is a work around I have found. the unable to connect to home base is indeed your (I should say mine for sure) ISP or Internet service provider issue. Our internet provider at our home will not open up the firewall to allow the Eufy app to communicate to offsite home bases or cameras. How I figured it out was I bought another home base and camera to play with at my personal home. I was able to use the app like I should when I was on the same wifi at the same location as my house base and camera. However if I turned off WIFI on my phone I lost the ability to connect to my new home base and cameras were not responding. So I added the home base to Apple Home kit. Now I can access all my cameras at multiple places any time regardless of what ISP I am on or wifi. Works like a charm. It requires Apple TV or a home kit hub to work at each location. So if you have a home in say Texas and a home in Washington or a warehouse in my case you will need an Apple TV at each location set up as a home kit hub. We already had one for home automation and another apple tv hub for our warehouse lights.
Have a slow adsl modem to homebase 2 with 4 eufy 2c cameras thar work perfect. Now the ISP will close down that service and sent a ZTE 4G router instead. Connected with ipv4. Speed is very fast conpared to old setup but connected to the 4G net with the router I can not change any settings on any camera or switch modes. I can however instantly stream all cameras with super quality and see old recordings. Ive tested on ios app with wifi or 4G with same result. Is it not odd that streaming works fine but something lile changinf name of a camera or changing motion sensitivity does not.
Had same issue. What fixed it for me was enabling WiFi on the Homebase. I have no idea why this worked, since the ethernet connection is also detected. I can also then disable WiFi and it keeps working, so enabling WiFi must reset something on the Homebase that is locking up.
same issue with my Homebase 2 and two Eufycam 2 pro. I can see the live streaming perfectly on the eufy website
mysecurity.eufylife.com , but not in the app. Sometimes works randomly, but 90% of the times when i try to see live feed, or recorded videos, i cannot connect to homebase via iOS app. This makes the whole security system useless. Please help !
Hi there!
At the beginning, I has the same problem as you. However, a connection on the VPN box with the open TCP ports 80 and 443 of the router solved my problem. Since then, 2 homebase 2 with 4 eufycam 2C pro and 5 input sensors work without worry.
Regards
I have email conversations mile long with eufy support regarding this. Why did my wyze, arlo, reolink and blink cameras work on that cheap router that cut of the packets between router and eufy homebase but not they eufy 2C. Guess their packets are longer? Its for sure a eufy feature.
Thank you for the only usefull advice. The cameras worked some time fine via mobile connection, but suddenly stopped working. Only via WI-FI works. By removing one SIM card, they started working again. Thanks thanks!! Eufy should fix this problem so that cards can be used in iphone 2.
I have two homebases with two cameras on each, i am admin on both and all other users are guest. When i turn off push notifications for one of my homebases nobody will be notified but i only want my device to not receive the notifications.
If this is not possible it should be a future firmware feature. Possibly have a master disable notification switch for each individual device and a disable notification switch which disables notifications on the device it is enabled for that way if i dont want to receive notifications for a certain device i wont but others still can.
I agree.
Notifications need to be individually customisable, pre user and per device.
Admin should decide on global settings, whether push notifications are enabled, push delivery content etc. User should be able to decide on action to a push notification. Eg in the case of the doorbell if push notifications are enabled for motion detection all users (including admin) should have their own INDIVIDUAL in app option as to how notifications are treated. In an ideal world the option to show / not show a text alert and or play a sound on a per device per notification field.
So for a doorbell options would be:
Motion detection sounds on/off
Motion detection alerts on/off
Bell push sounds on/off
Bell push alerts on/off
This would be high up my wish list as well. At the moment having a common set of notification options means my wife has uninstall the app due to the volume of notifications. Turning off notifications for me is a no go.
