Possible Feature Request

Hi Craig,

Can I first of all say thank you spending your time on this project,
we have been using the system to control our laptop trolley bookings
for the past year now and its been a great asset to the College.

You may have already considered these features for version 2 of
Classroombookings, and I am sorry if its been repeated elsewhere.

Booking Timestamps: As we use the system with laptop trolleys we have
to tell staff to please allow "rest" periods for the laptops to re-
charge. In our case we say a trolley can be used for 2 periods and
then must be allocated a charging period. As you can imagine this is
often ignored when a member of staff just see's a blank slot on the
booking sheet without considering the battery status. The problem we
are having is working out when the last booking was made, and by
whom.

I am not sure if I have explained that very well - let me know if you
need more information.

Restricting Rooms/Trolleys: It would be a really nice feature to be
able to select which departments are allowed to book out a trolley. We
are considering allocating trolleys to our main departments for them
to use only, rather than the rest of the college booking it out.

Hi Chris, thanks for your suggestions.

The idea of a timestamp is a very valid and useful feature, and
luckily, a relatively simple feature to integrate into version 2 - so
consider it done.

Your second suggestion is already in the pipeline and will be a
feature available in the first release of version 2. They say a

Thanks Craig,

Looking at your screenshot would it be a case of selecting 'Geography'
can make bookings, and other departments wont even see the room
(unless they are granted permission to 'view the room'). If that's the
case it sounds exactly what we were looking for :)
