2009 Holiday Letter
So much has happened this year. First we went on a cruise to Cozumel and Belize during our spring break. We had a blast. We did this thing called ‘snuba’. Snuba is a mixture of scuba and snorkeling. You are, in essence still snorkeling but you use the scuba air tank so you can go deeper into the ocean and see more wild life. It was a breathtaking experience. The cruise itself was incredible, as well. The ship, called the Navigator of the Seas, had 14 floors, an ice skating rink, a full-fledged theatre and delicious food.
Our basement was also remodeled this year. We tore everything down and started anew. The old storage became a workout room, a game room and new shrunken storage. We also have a new wet bar and guest bedroom downstairs. But that’s not all. We also turned our viewing area into a movie theater, with special speakers and theatre lighting. The new basement looks fabulous and doesn’t even minutely resemble the old one. The entire process took ridiculously long, about 5 months. But the end product is quite the sight and definitely worth the wait.
Another special event happened this year. My grandparents, from India, on my dad’s side moved in with us. They came at the end of October and will be here for the next six months. It’s really great that they’re here. The house seems more full and lively and it’s much nicer having them here rather than all the way in India.
All in all it’s been a great year filled with fun times and many laughs. We hope your year has been the same. Here’s us wishing you a fantastic upcoming year and happy holidays
