Dear Classical Revolutionaries,
We'd like to update you that despite our Call For Proposals having been directly emailed to 471 Google Group members, and despite it having received over 600 views on Facebook and Instagram, we received only one proposal by the deadline.
Because the concert takes time to coordinate, advertise, practice and prepare for, we were not able to extend the deadline. As we didn’t receive enough proposals, we are obliged to cancel this year’s Bachxing Day Concert on December 26, 2025. This is truly a shame, as this event has been a staple for us over the years, has consistently sold out, and has consistently been very enthusiastically received.
To help us better serve our Classical Revolution PDX community going forward, and to learn how we can create more participation in future curated events (such as Bachxing Day), we are developing and will distribute a survey early in the New Year. The results of the survey will determine our future programming, so we’d like to ask that when the survey is sent out, all who have participated in CRPDX complete the survey. We'd like our decisions to reflect all the wisdom out there!
