String players needed for Oregon mahler Festival 2023

Dear Classical Revolution PDX folks,

We need more volunteer string players (especially violins) for this year's Oregon Mahler Festival.

The festival will include two reading sessions:

    June 21: Berlioz Symphonie Fantastique and Ravel La Valse

    June 29: Bruckner Symphony No. 3

The we will perform Mahler's Symphony No. 9 on Saturday July 22.

Mahler rehearsals begin July 6.

We have musicians coming not only from all over the Portland-metro area and SW Washington, but also from Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, and as far away as Arizona.

 

Come join the fun.  You don't get too many chances to play a huge piece like Mahler 9th, so come join in.
