I saw MSG at Wacken 06 and wouldn't mind seeing him/them again, but
none of the dates are particularly near to me.
I did enjoy Fury UK when they supported Blaze Bayley earlier this
year, so sounds like a good tour.

Also, Power Quest are playing the Sheffield, Dudley and Bristol gigs
as well as Manchester, These guys have recently had a complete lineup
change (everyone except the keyboardist is new). I saw the new lineup
in Southampton last month and they were pretty good, especially
considering it was only their 2nd gig together.

Yep... I saw MSG at Pontypridd on the recent round of dates and was
impressed. At present Schenker seems to have his demons under control
and is playing as well as ever, looking like he's enjoying himself
again.
Gary Barden appears in good control of his voice too, noticeably
leaving the high, high notes to the audience!
A good set list too I thought, appreciating the fact that if there
were a couple of McAuley era songs thrown in (which sadly there are
not) I'd probably be one of only a few cheering!

Was this at the Muni Bill?

I saw Magnum there, but had only ever seen a Queen tribute there before many
years ago and could not get a POI for my satnav. All the maps had it on the
other side of the road a block down from where it was. I got hopelessly lost
driving up one way streets and all.

Take the seats out and this is a quality venue!

Oh and thanks for the info regarding Y&T's Onetwo. I might invest if they
are remastered.

Yep.. The Muni. My Satnav took me to somewhere near but I seem to
recall it wasn't quite right. Fortunately in searching for somewhere
to park I drove past the venue.

I thought it was a good venue too though Rich. The only seats I saw
were up on a balcony that wasn't open on the night anyway so it was
all standing for MSG. I've heard that hopefully FM will be playing at
the Muni early in the New Year. If that comes off then I can foresee
another trip to Pontypridd!

Thanks Bill

Where are you by the way? I'm in Rhiwbina, Cardiff. Have travelled to
Bristol and Birmingham for gigs, and Jill Meniketti hinted that Y&T may play
in Swansea next year. Haven't been to Swansea since Saints played there last
season.

I live in a village near Ammanford Rich so a Swansea Y&T gig would be
nice 'n' local for me! There are a few decent venues there, with Sin
City currently getting the bigger names that visit although I'm off to
see WASP at Vice on the Kingsway in a few weeks time. When I first
moved down here (I have to admit I'm an Englishman living in Wales!)
the Patti Pavillion was still open and although they've spent a
fortune renovating the place it seems they can't find anyone to
run.... shame as I only got to see Magnum play there, relocating too
late in life to see the legendary Manband play one of their Xmas shows
there :-(
