...Sound City, the Dave Grohl documentary about the legendary studio. Caught the movie on a flight to the US last week and found it completely brilliant. The first two thirds of the film are an interesting history of the studio whilst the final third is footage of Grohl and others (Stevie Nicks, Tent Reznor, Josh Homme, Rick Springfield, Macca etc) recording the accompanying CD on the legendary Neve console from Sound City studio.

The heart of the film is a passion for music, especially played live without the tricks of ProTools and auto tuning that mean anyone can churn out saleable music regardless of talent.

I highly recommend the film. I've ordered a DVD copy already and am currently playing the accompanying album too. Great stuff.

I would love to hear some of your "honest" reviews also playing some UK festivals in the summer Penrith rock n blues and Steelhouse in wales if its near to any of you and you are going gimme a shout as i will be working both of these.  Off to Paris next week to do a support with crucified Barbara and some radio promo for the European release of the Album!
