Desmond, I mentioned to an email acquaintance in Norway that you
experienced an accident with the Marina and that it was off the road.
He sent me a picture link to one of his Marinas. He suggested that if
you're going to have an accident in a Marina you want it to be like
the one shown in his picture. More appropriately, if your Marina is
going to be "off road" it should look like the one in his picture.

That will buff right out,LOL..it doesnt look that bad,or did it get
underneath and mess with anything else? Looks like mabey a fender, and
possibly a hood other than that it doesnt look to bad. Body work is
soooooo much easier that the clevis pin in the clutch on a mini!!!!

(Sean, there isn't usually this much traffic at once - only when I'm
catching up on correspondence!)

The front of the car is bent a little bit to the left - it pinches the
driver's side door just enough that I can't open it without bending
some sheet metal. It would be best to put it on a frame puller machine
and try to straighten it out. It's a shame because the car was
perfectly clean, straight and virtually rust-free before the
accident. :-(

Ah, well, if the Marina hadn't gotten crunched I might not have ever
gotten my Mini. That's a nice silver lining! :-)

Desmond....

You sold the Marina to JAMIE???? Well, I guess your Marina will
remain in my life at least peripherally. Jamie has already written me
to ask for some dimensional information via my contacts in the U.K.
and Norway. Unbelievable.

Yep! Isn't that a hoot? As he was picking it up he started to say that
he knew a guy who lived not too far [from my house] who had a Mini and I
interrupted and said, "Do you mean Doug Lawson?" and it went from
there... :-)

I had lowered the price on the Marina a lot just to make something
happen. My driveway was too full and the poor thing was just sitting
there. Jamie called and we talked and he did some research and
everything just worked out great for all involved. I'm really glad to
know that it is going to someone who knows British cars and who'll enjoy
it!

Small world!

:-)
