[Cadillac] Door latch shaft

Does anyone have or know where I can get the shaft for the outside door latch on a 1950-1954 Cadillac.  The part is item 31.2423 in the parts book and the part number is 700 3040.  This is the piece that is attached to the button internally that actuates the latch when the button is depressed.  One of mine is worn down to where the button barely releases the latch.  Thanks for any help on this.  Jim
