If there was a time constraint and you don’t have enough time to Finish/run all the test cases, how would you approach that situation?

Subject: Question

If there was a time constraint and you don’t have enough time to Finish/run all
the test cases, how would you approach that situation?

Ashraf: I think as a QA I will have the privilege to talk to the team lead, or PM about the following situation, what I am suppose to do, or any suggestions, other wise I will test the main functionalities of the application, and try to finish as much as I can do.
Or, may be we will discuss at the beginning of the requirement review, before verifying/ approve the requirement, that time frame will be a big factor to finish all test cases on time.

Let me know what will you do on that kinda situation?

In this case I will have to talk to the PM or team leader about the
situation, or test the main function of the application and try to
finish as much as possible.

status reports describe the condition/state of a report. Ex. when QA
finds a bug on a application they send it to developer to fix it,
after fixing the application the status is Fixed, or if its not
fixable then the status report is closed. :)

It is the report for the status of the ongoing testing effort. When the actual testing begines, you will have to report the progress of the testing in the form of how many test cases were executed, how many bugs were opened and what is the status of the bugs you have reported (how many open, how many fixed, how many closed etc). Normally you have to attend the testing meetings, which could be daily or weekly and you have to provide the report there.
