这个好象有点道理,我们以前是被教育在突发事故时要钻在桌子底下的,现在说不能
钻!

小城市,生活很方便,不用和兄弟姐妹们一样开车去买菜,俺走着就行。房子都是旧旧的砖红色,基本没有高楼,市中心也只有一两条繁华点的街道。很安静,很少见到大兴土木的工地,时间好像凝固在几十年前了。晚上10点黑天,早上4点亮天,好在我睡眠还行。最麻烦的是当地口音太重,语调很绵软,语速也快,发觉自己好像什么也听不懂了一样。

是不是真的以土豆为主食?上课时这么说的。
我每星期一直搭我学生和他男朋友的车去买菜。这三个星期他们爱恋进入了高潮,不能容忍我
这个照到哪里哪里亮的电等泡,把我甩了,结果我三个星期没买菜,现在就快弹尽粮绝了。

高一班最近又热闹起来了。在海外的队伍正在壮大。虽然我迄今没见到你们任何一位,但我不会再有孤独感了。在这里的感觉曾经是很无助的,连接个人的事儿都办不到。很能体会徐强老师所谓“民工”的滋味。不过你们谁能在洛杉叽自由逗留(不是象linda那样转机),我可以请你们吃中餐。我现在搬到chinatown(old),每日做commuter一族了。公交虽然要等,我也曾经担心安全问题,但现在发现没有国内拥挤。看来携家带口在这里访问的大有人在啊,我的家人6月17日签证,希望他们顺利。我计划他们7月初来,然后旅游几天。旅游时间差不多的能否告诉我个安排,我幻想着是否有可能和你们加入同一个团一起玩呢!

早说,我们轮值,让春姐姐也一回当班长。 我还在国内,因为2006年去过美国,不能
再申请J1,只能用B1,但B1不能拿薪水,原本对方同意资助的stipend泡汤了,sigh。

Btw, 我刚发送之前发现竟然打成了春奶奶,吓了一跳,赶紧改正,否则还不被扁死!

我所在的ohio周日遭遇了大风袭击,现在电力系统处于瘫痪状态,甚至有的路口交通信号灯也没了,幸好这里人烟稀少,文明程度还可以,没有导致交通阻塞。我们小区已经两天两夜没有供电,靠垃圾食品维持生活,昨天政府给我们一家提供了两代冰维持冰箱冷气,还有几个苹果和几个小零食。晚上将我家两周的食物扛到老板家,烧了一顿大餐,嗯,还是米饭好吃。美国人办事效率极差,预计要5-7天后才恢复正常。

 谢谢大家的慰问。报告大家好消息,因我住的是学校student family 房子,据说学校出面,我们已于今天下午恢复电力供应。但周围的超市,麦当劳,还有其他的出租房等仍一遍黑暗。
